DOG SPORTS STEPS Foundation Class
DOG SPORTS STEPS Foundation Class
Agility, K9 Nosework, Rally-O, tricks, frisbee, flyball, etc.
A fun way to use the skills that you and your dog learned in STEP ONE Dog Training Foundations class. Dog sports are a structured way of playing games with your dog that increases the bond you share and develops your obedience skills as you have fun!
We will of course sneak in stays, focus, recalls and make hanging around you while ignoring distractions fun!
Prerequisites: Step One Class or equivalent (If you are unsure, contact us to discuss your dog and assess your needs.)
When: Tuesdays in April
Time: 7:15pm - 8:30pm ( 1 1/4 hrs)
Location: Squamish Valley Rod and Gun Club (map http://www.svrgc.org/map.html)
Cost: $120 (plus HST) Total $134.40 Cheque made out to Paw In Hand or cash.

*Please note that currently we are training in a location where occasional gun shots may be heard... if your dog is sensitive to such noises this would not be a suitable class for learning.

NEXT STEP Dog Training Progressions Classes
Finally what you have all been waiting for! NEXT STEP Dog Training Progressions Classes are now being offered. Our inaugural March class filled up before we told anyone about it.
NEXT STEP builds on the foundations that you and your dog learned in STEP ONE. We will help you to improve focus, add distance and duration to stays and recalls, work on reliable recalls, leash handling skills and work with increasing distractions....
Prerequisites: Step One Class or equivalent
When: Tuesdays, new 4-week class starting the first Tuesday of every month
Time: 7:15pm - 8:15pm

Cost: $100 (plus HST) Total $112.00 Cheque made out to Paw In Hand Pet Services or cash.

What to bring: Your dog (wearing a plain buckle collar), You (wearing comfortable outdoor clothing), 6 foot plain leash, walking harness if you use one, scrumptious small soft dog treats that your dog will jump hoops for, special toy that your dog goes googly eyed over, and a soft mat (such as bathroom mat, crate pad, etc.).
* Please leave your dog in your vehicle when you first arrive. Bring your gear (treats, toys and mat) to the meeting area.
