STEPPING OUT!!!
Once you and your dog have had a chance to practice some of the basic foundation exercises that you learned in STEP ONE we will help you take your skills out and about out in the real world and trails where you like to play!!! Add distractions, distance and duration to get reliable desirable behaviours from your dog... We will progress on recalls, attention, leash walking and polite manners with other trail users.
Wouldn't you love your dog to wait patiently in your vehicle until released, have them pay more attention to you and not have to be constantly reminded, keep their focus in distracting situations, get a speedy recall when needed, respond to "leave it" even with dead salmon, drop the 5 foot long stick, or not be pulled off your feet on the way to the trailhead?
Prerequisites: STEP ONE Training Class

Time: 2 hour drop in session
Location: local areas and trails TBA
Cost: $50 per drop-in class. (plus hst) Cheque made out to Paw In Hand Pet Services or cash.

What to bring: Your dog (wearing a plain buckle collar), You (wearing comfortable outdoor clothing), 6 foot plain leash (and a 10 - 20ft long line optional but desirable), walking harness if you use one, scrumptious small soft dog treats that your dog will jump hoops for, special toy that your dog goes googly eyed over, and a soft mat (such as bathroom mat, crate pad, etc.). All packed into your backpack ready to go on a training adventure.
* Please leave your dog in your vehicle when you first arrive (with leash attached if it is safe to do so). Bring your gear (treats, toys and mat) to the meeting area.
